GIRLS JUST WANNA TALK ABOUT TWINS!

Its official...we now have five siblings in the "twin" fraternity.
[Note: To all who knows not, Vicky and LaiCh have been mistaken as sisters / twins on more than numerous occasions, and now, the story develops...]

Scene 1

Vicky pastes GIRLS posters at IACT College. Students excitedly crowd around. Sweet, young thing (SYT) points to Fang and asked, "Is she very fierce?" "No, Fang is sweet. Why do you say that," a puzzled Vicky asked. "I hear our seniors say that she can be fierce," SYT replied before continuing with "she's our lecturer right?" "No, darling, our lecturer is the one holding the MAD magazine," answered Vicky but not before she broke into an uncontrollable giggling fit.

Scene 2

(Similar to Scene 1 but with different student) Vicky persuading students to watch GIRLS & proceeds to hand out postcards. "Wah, you look very different here. The flower on your hair is very nice Vicky," shouted another SYT in utter excitement.

Conclusion 5 Divas in one LIT family is too many - I officially write in to apply for the post of "Assistant to the Assistant Executive Producer" for 2007 LIT Production called "I Don't Wanna See Double No More".

GIRLS JUST WANNA TALK ABOUT PINK!

The thing is, there is this stigma with the representation of the colour pink and girls. From the moment we were born, wrapped in that pink blanket, to the case that kept our first barbie's hair from swaying too much to the right, and that Hello Kitty coin pouch tucked in the corner of your hand bag, or that #98 laced pink top with the price tag still on it.

Maybe it's the mysterious aura that the colour disseminates, but everytime I have contact with the colour pink, an overpowering sensation to giggle, just overwhelms me. hehehe. Like how those pink cotton candies sold at the last neighbourhood funfair sparks the same effect. And by last, I mean, approximately more than 15 years ago. And by same effect, I mean, I won't deny the possibility of sugar being the cause for giggling fits.

Nonetheless, pink is a funny colour. Like how a conversation saying that this blog is so pink, henced it being liked and retort that deems to compliment but in actual fact hides a deeper shade of pink would ignite a single blog talking nonsensically about its colour is just nonsensical. We have so much fun, don't you think?

A Toast To LiT

Hm. Here’s my first entry. You must know that I totally suck at writing and I guess writing is not as bad for someone who has so-called “foot-in-mouth” disease. :p

I’m a newbie to LiT Performers but I’ve known most of them way back. These chicas are all amazing in their own way and it’s just so much fun to be part of this family. I’ve got so much to learn from them. Rock on ladies!

Saturday bonding session was fun. ☺ I guess every one of us (especially the newbies) needed this to loosen up a bit. To those who cooked, brought the booze and offered the venue…thanks heaps. It was really nice. Well, the bonding session has its catch…we had to rehearse for a bit before we can start the feast. Too bad Phoebe and Fang couldn’t make it but I’m sure there’ll be more sessions like this to come. Cheers to you wonderful ladies and to everyone who supports LiT!

And here is one that basks upon the glamourous shines of the sun, amongst 15 others that know not the meaning of "shying-away". For we are here.

We are A Cappella singers.

We are girls.

ALL girls.

We are the LiT Performers.

Many have wondered and questioned of what lies beyond the three simple letterings that bounds us together. My respond would usually vary from "Does it matter?" to "Does it REALLY matter?" For it is my belief that a name, is like mentioned, what group us together. Behind the abbreviation of LiT stands only the unity of the group of individuals that shares the same passion for music and love for singing. A group of people that lives the meaning of rhythm and realizes the unlimited potential of human voices.

We sing because a song needs melody. But what we are, are really, make believers. We make believe that we are beatboxes, we make believe we are the sha-la girls, we make believe that we are made out of brass, drums and electric guitars. Basically every other musical instruments imagineable and not. So long as we want to. Because we can.

Don't get me wrong. Arrogant we daren't. But what we pride is just our believes in the capabilities of the human voice. Why let only the instruments have all the glamour and fun?

We are here to walk on that painted stage with our fashionable heels. We are here to bask in that light that lit for us. We are here to strut our moves and sway to the rhythm. We are here to take the stage with our passion and sing our hearts desire! Most of all, we are girls, and we just wanna have fun!

Therefore,

Come join us on this journey through the diaries of our days aimed at that very night when we justify, why girls just have more fun.
